I’ve often wondered if yoga “counts” as weight-based resistance training, and have had several debates with a personal trainer on the subject. While doing some research, I was happy to discover the answer is yes(!), yoga does count as resistance training. Not only that, but it also builds flexibility and endurance, reduces injury risk, and works multiple muscle groups at the same time, conditioning your whole body to perform better on a daily basis.
